Yeah the child simping IS really fucked up I agree.
I also get what you mean plot wise but I think she just got lost in the sauce. The MC has been living with these people for years now so it's understandable she doesn't think of them as fictional side characters. I also think there is plenty of time before the events of the novel take place, so she might be putting aside any plans she might have for now.
I don't know, I tend to like OI where the FL doesn't obsess over events and death flags or remembers ridiculous details.

I really like the story so far and honestly really enjoy it! I cant wait for the next chapter but is it just me or did I find that the plot is a little inconsistent? I usually really like reading re-incarnation stories because there’s usually a set plot in what the mc needs to do and although I do know her main goal was to survive did anyone else think they rushed through the backstory/past story a bit too fast. Sometimes I really don’t understand what’s even happening tbh when it comes to the plot tbh. But hopefully that gets cleared up with time!
I also feel so uncomfortable with the comments of ppl saying they simp for heuk,,, like he literally looks the same age as mc, so like around 9-10?? He has a child form and even acts like a child…….so I uh,,, it’s just very weird when y’all are saying he’s attractive and shit in that way. If it was the MC’s dad y’all were talking about yeah i would get it but he literally looks like a child y’all???? calm down plz,,,, but yeah all in all i really like this for some reason in the beginning it gave me the same vibe as ‘Suddenly became a princess one day’ just a tiny bit tho!
