maybe im stupid but im pretty sure jade and mc were childhood friends, and they were close. since she literally killed herself just for jade to be emperor, and he was upset about that too (since he loves her)
and yeah, shes doing the same thing again since she wants the story to be the same (i have no clue why tho)

No no.. Its ok.. But yea.. Like u said.. By right.. In 2nd timeline she has lived her live as jade childhood friend according to the book bcuz she doesn't wnna change anything.. What im weirded out about her is that.. Whenever she speaks of jade.. Most of the time.. Maybe not always.. But most of the time..its like her first time being his friend.. Not the 2nd..as if like she never experience a childhood with jade before she was sacrifice herself.. Which i feel weird.. Because she supposed to retain her memory that is why she rmember some things like being jade childhood friend and following the flow of the story before.. But whenevr she reminisce of her life (in the novel) before.. Its always like she never actually experience them.. Weirdd.. To me..
1st time line - live in modern korea
2nd time line - live as viche since childhood
3rd time line - live as viche since childhood again
Somehow to me.. It seems more like she is experiencing 2nd time line than 3rd time line except for the fact that she remember the moment of her death.. Because other times that she mention past events more like info gather from reading the novel.. Not the fact that she actually lived the 2nd timeline since childhood.. Since adult, maybe? Because she seems like she didn't know jade personally in 2nd timeline (like she only know the him from the novel).. This seems to be the same with other characters she is in contact with.. Except that duke persia.. She mention it like it was from her previous life not just something she supposedly know going to happen because she read a book..
But yea.. Most of the time.. This feels more like she is in the life of a 2nd time line rather than the 3rd..to me anyway.. I still like the story.. Just this part been nagging ay the back of my brain n i wna let it out.. Haha..
