Because there is more to life than love. The seme knows he will leave at some point for his career. The uke is traumatized and wants to love on. He knows he shouldn't cling to yhr seme out of convenience or because he was there when the uke was lonely.
Being an adult sucks a lot of the time but I find myself understanding both of their characters which is something I wouldn't have been able to do if I were much younger
Oh noooo, of course that I know all that and why they are doing it but still I wish them to talk properly (I know they will do it in the future)
