No, your reading comprehension is bad LMAO. We are looking at OPs words at face value and what they said was gross. We’ve already made several points throughout this thread abt why what OP said was bad so let me explain again. OP literally said don’t use his trauma as an excuse to justify his reaction to coming in contact with her “because everyone has trauma”. Not only does that belittles his experiences and makes them seem less important, it shows that OP does not care about understanding how trauma response works.
The ML is making an effort to overcome his trauma so that's why he attempted to dance with the FL. But since he is a heavily traumatized rape victim, his body involuntarily reacted, he flinched and drew back from the FL. Is it rude? Yes. Is that going to embarrass the FL? Yes, sadly it will. But at the same time, it wasn’t like he was able to control an involuntary trauma response.
So yes OP’s comment is fucking weird. Instead of getting mad at the ML for reacting in that way, they could have been empathetic and also felt bad for the FL at the same time.
