No , I think you are supposed to pay on discord to read the translated chapters
I never had to pay anything on any discord server, I think it is free. They probably just don't want to get into legal trouble because there is an official release now that still has to catch up to the chapters that they translated.

I got it during lockdown so I could talk to my friends, took some time to get used to but essentially it’s just for communication and people can create private groups you can join via link.
The application is also free, so you don’t habe to pay to set up an account or anything
They are seriously gonna make us pay? If I am gonna pay might well just buy the official chapters and help the author(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
