That is deadass the whole point. Helena tried to tel the crown prince that it wasn’t Eris fault but he still went and slapped her. When the maid got in trouble by the crown prince, Helena once again tried to say it wasn’t her to blame but the maid got blamed anyway. Helena deadass said she could never be angry or mad at Eris so there isn’t anyway she would purposefully do anything to hurt her.
She is a women in a society that views them as nothing but damsels and she can be as loud as she wants but she is still a maid so not one person especially the men are going to listen.
I thought the same thing in the beginning too, but there was a part that said she went thru a lot of stuff where she tried to step in but the other party got punished more instead. So she just gave up and didn’t do anything afterwards.

But I respect the fact that even though Eris might do mean things to her, she would forgive her no matter what. That takes a lot. When she witnesses them being outright rude to her, she always tried to help Eris. They usually do it when Helena isn’t here or in a way she wouldn’t understand since she herself grew up poor.
I get your take most definitely, I hate their society as well. But I love both girls because they are each others foils and that just makes them all the better.

Leave as in do you mean leave the Crown prince? She can't escape her situation, the cp sees her as his** possession, and she has no place to go either. Saying sorry to eris doesn't help either, it might even seem condescending to her. She's wearing the same dress cause the crown prince made her to. In the novel, both girls didn't know they wore the same dress and eris was supposed to arrive later than Helena due to waiting for the crown prince, arriving and then seeing the situation then runs out in embarrassment. This time however, Helena runs out because she had no idea eris was wearing the same dress. Honestly, how would she have known? Helena is a maid for crying out loud she has no resources to get a dress of that level. Remember, she is a maid, she is powerless and for goodness sake stop hating on her start hating on the 3 mls instead.
