I don't think he's a horrible parent. Its just horrible upbringing. Imagine living all your life being threatened by your family members just because its their tradition. I wouldn't be surprised if he became a homicidal maniac. As long as the he doesn't necessarily harm his kids, I still consider him as a good person not a parent tho.
True, if we really want to blame someone, it's the people who started that kind of tradition first. It's obvious that these kind of ideology is ingrained in his mind
yes he live his life being threatened by his own family just bcs its tradition but that still don't justify him being a homicidal maniac. being a homicidal maniac is still bad even though his surroundings is the one who made him become like that. at the end of the day he's being like those people all over again, he follow the tradition, he let the tradition happen again, he neglect and let his child kill each other. so i think he's definitely someone that i can blame since he take part in the tradition, he's not 100% innocent.

i hate this type of father in isekai. his good look not even doing anything, im still pissed every time i see his face in the panel. i want to punch his face through the screen. what a horrible parent..
