Nah but precisely because he's the crown prince she can't refuse the invitation. This is kind of medieval times right? Man would just yeet her neck off. Or the empress could have. We had her backstory chapter which shows she was brought up to be servile as she should be.
IDK I think this story and it's characters are a bit too emotionally complex for us to just be like "nah she 100% should have done this otherwise she's trash."
I just appreciate that they're not all slotted into tropes, and have actual believable personalities.

It’s all because of this dumb blonde guy fr. His mum also. I bet the Prince didn’t even know about the dress, he probably thinks Eris wore the same dress on purpose, but actually it was the Empress who orchestrated it. I didn’t even realise she was a character in this because shes done jack shit this whole time lmao.
I like Eris’s way of handling things though, keeping calm and composed on the outside. Still wish she could be a bit nicer to her knight.
