I totally agree especially with duke chapman. Like why the heck did he and that one spinel end up together he literally was abusing him.
Right!! Why should the duke get a partner to be with? My guess is that spinel was abused so much that he became mentally ill? Kinda like Stockholm syndrome.
Yes that what i was thinking! There was literally no point of them getting a side story, it just made me uncomfy the whole time.
The art was amazing and the story was very interesting.
This story could’ve been way deeper with more drama. That probably wasn’t what the author was going for but this could’ve been a masterpiece.
Instead of dev warming up to rowell right away he could’ve been more cold and had used Rowell like he intended. Rowell could’ve been battling some demons bc come on, no one gets over their parents being murdered in-front of their eyes. Dev could’ve been used by the nobles who hated spinels, they could’ve tricked him by manipulating him with power and promising to help him find his family. Noah could’ve been a past lover, or just someone devoted to the king. (Noah isn’t important to the story except for being a side couple)
The author didn’t need the duke chapman he was pretty useless to the story. The king could’ve been more invoked in Rowells life.
There SO much more the author could’ve done to make this story a little more interesting. I like drama so all that might be overkill, but SOMETHING to give this a little spice would’ve been nice.
Again, I’m sure this probably wasn’t meant to be an angst story to begin with. Those are just my personal views.
