She literally can not say no to the prince. She said so herself just a few chapters ago. She's afraid that if she disobeyed him, she could be harmed or worse.

They know Helena can't refuse them and are using her to humiliate Eris. Who, I don't need to remind anyone, has done nothing wrong
while it’s true she can’t say no to the prince, there was literally no reason she couldn’t have just explained that she tripped and that eris didn’t push her. I understand the need to blame the betrayer rather than the home wrecker, but in this case she’s not as innocent as she makes herself out to be
helena cant speak out about anything AT ALL. thats what makes many of us pity her and hate her at the same time. she never spoke up when the crown prince verbally abuse the maid for her, she never spoke up when og eris locked her for hours and she got claustrophobic. she doesnt even tell anyone about her mother nor the fact that og eris bullied her so much. if she cant stand up for herself she obv isnt gonna for someone else (there are ppl like this irl)

okay now you’re just overcompensating. the prince totally would have listened to her since he’s so completely whipped and she wouldn’t be directly challenging his ego. and even if he wouldn’t have listened, it’s still pretty telling that helena didn’t say a word to defend eris.
Yeah she's definitely not. But to be fair, with OG Eris Helena was fighting to survive and if she broke someone's heart in the process (someone who even bullied her despite being more powerful and her not being as responsible as the Prince back then), she'd choose to survive. Now, with the new Eris, Helena's passiveness can't fly, especially when she tries to be actively harmful (the tripping incident) than simply passive. Tbh, I prefer her brand of toxicity because she is in a very bad position, rather than the Crown Prince's unfounded toxicity.
I'm not going to keep arguing about this. I've read countless stories like this and I'm only going off of prior stories and what we've been presented so far.
We've got a long way to go till the end, and then we'll see how this plays out.
yeah no see this is why helena doesn’t slide with me. she constantly claims to “just want to be friends” but there is no way in hell she didn’t see anything wrong with being escorted by someone ELSE’S fiancé to their own debutante. it’s just like when she purposely didn’t try to explain the situation about her tripping and got eris slapped- the bitch knows what she’s doing.
