I loved the story so much. I thought that the pacing of this story was exactly what I wanted in terms of pacing for the plot. I liked how Dylan's feelings gradually escalated from caution to infatuation that char tried her hardest to calculate but missed the mark on. I also appreciated how that influenced the power dynamic between our leads as char gradually loses her control on dylan and and dylan begins to act more erratic bit by bit. And that culminates in ch 40 where char has to rationalize Dylan's actions but completely realizes that she can't control him any longer.
As another comment said, she really does look so tired at this point. She's exhausted from fighting and emotionally exhausted by the weight of her revenge and now all that's left is wondering about how to fix the mess Dylan created and where to go next. I think this is the first time she's been completely at a loss for what to do next and I love that characterization for char. In general, her character throughout was very interesting, seeing how human she was at some moments despite how long she lived.
Also, I have to get back to Dylan's character because I think this was a very interesting instance of the ml falling in love. You don't usually see an ml develop feelings and have those sorts of dreams and stuff, I thought it was a nice touch. Just everything about this manhwa has been so nice and interesting and I'm excited for the next season. The storytelling has been amazing in the "I tamed a tyrant" part, I can't wait for the "and ran away" next season ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Spoiler You might hate him after this . . . . . Dylan became so obsessed and possessive to her to the point he want to make her into a sword just like what happened in her past life so that she will remain on his side forever . We all know how much fl suffered from being a sword

Oooh I'm always down for Dylan becoming a worse character. I think that would just add to the storyline as a whole, showing how his obsession manifests in unhealthy ways
