it's more of the fact that they are dark skinned, in a tribe and have "unrefined" behaviour. can't you connect the dots? and this happens in a lot of manhwas and other media as well. the other villains have fair skin but are all nobles

That's a weird statement to make. For most of fantasy novels even in the fictionalised version the East was presented as this mystic oriental region. Do you think that isn't because of how the real world treated the east as the mystical other for literal centuries. Its not that difficult to enjoy stories but still pick up on this stuff. The op is right. Being Asian myself I can easily tell you that many Asians dislike darker skins. Much of this is unrelated to discrimination against black people. Rather it's a result of internal history that being labourers etc were generally darker skinned due to being in the sun and hence considered lesser and also because of post effects of colonialism.

So childish. It's so clear you didn't even read what I wrote because I clearly stated that such portrayal of dark skin is not related to black people when the authors are from the east. Asia has its own unique struggles with this. It's a fact that from tv shows to movies to novels etc many media mostly unconsciously put dark skinned people in the antagonist role. As the other comment said, the beings here aren't the worst villains but they do fall into the savage trope. and by the way if they really did discrimination, all the white people in this story would have be good, pure, kind people with no bad white man! but the fact is it isn't the case at all!! the worse villain in this story is A WHITE SKIN MAN AND WOMEN!
