literally, she cant control anything. she's just a maid, prob have to support someone so unless she wants to be fired and stay unemployed and starving on the streets bc of the prince, she doesn't have a choice but to accept his favors no matter what she feels so now she prob just stays on her comfort zone and stay ignorant and naive to all sht bc she cant control anything. so in conclusion, the culprit here is the prince (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

It's just so unnerving that there are situations that she could have intervined and clear up the misunderstanding (for example, when the mc was slapped) but she chose not to. I mean, she's distrespectful enough to not respect the nobles even though the mc told her to, but she can't even speak and tell what really happened? Then she'll cry while saying sorry to the mc without even bothering to clear the misunderstanding, it's a neverending cycle. I know she's meant to be this innocent, pure and fragile thing like how a main character typically is but those type of characters are getting old tbh, it's just plain annoying at this point ಠ_ʖಠ
I'm not that mad about the prince because I accepted that he's the villain early on in the story, but I just don't get why Helena is treated like she's holier than thou by the characters and readers
