update: i looked at the raws for the manhwa, shanannet reprimands bellesac for embarrassing himself in public, and tells him he lacks teaching. hearing his aunt’s negative regards, he flinches and becomes embarrassed.
whoops forgot another thing sorry i’m updating as i look at the manhwa. the key rulac gives tia is the key to her library that he promised her back when she was asked what she wanted for her 8th birthday. iirc in this scene, tia also says this wasn’t the only thing she asked her grandpa for!
Just to clarify for those that are thinking that these will be the turn of events in the manhwa that it is not. In the novel it was the twins that defended tia and the adults didnt make any snide remarks to her, in the mahwa the adults said rude shit to tia and the one to defend her was actually her aunt shananet. However much appreciated to the commentor for telling us the novel version of what happens cause its also entertaining to read. Knowing vieze suffers is comforting no matter if its novel or manhwa.
yes!! thank you for the clarification. everyone else, please also take in mind my warning at the start before i explained everything. the novel and manhwa dont line up quite the same! for example, vestian pushed tia before the banquet in the hallway in the manhwa, but instead, he looks down upon tia in the banquet room before rulac enters the room

hey guys, obviously there’s been complaints abt this chapter being reuploaded many times. i know the grammar is hard to understand, so i will actually go over what was said in the novel during this event (not the manhwa, sorry!). i will go over ch 35 in the novel too bc it looks like some things don’t line up within the novel and manhwa.
in the novel, tia dreads this event, but she and her dad are complimenting how the other person looks lol (it’s so cute :)) they’re having a family dining session i guess you could say, so the brothers and their wives/ shanannet and her husband.
tia looks at vieze and admits that he’s not that ugly, but she can’t bear to look at him because of his greed in the past life.
i think they’re sitting separately, so adults in one table, children at another. she’s going to sit with twins who promised gallahan they’d look after her (so sweet :)).
they were arguing over who tia sits next to for a while until their dad shows up and starts glaring at them. they go over how vestian actually hates lombardy and it’s a secretly between schultz men only. they admit their father doesn’t like it when they play with tia, and now tia is aware that shanannet doesn’t know at all. she’s starting to grow wary of vestian.
while she’s thinking at her table, bellesac calls out to her with the usual “half blood” remarks. he threw a green grape at tia, and when tia wanted to throw one back, one of the twins ended up doing it for her lol. then the other twin threw somethinf at bellesac. then bellesac starts bragging about how rulac let him go to the imperial palace once a month.
tia wasn’t really surprised because the same thing happened in the previous life. the twins also said they don’t care because the prince was a rude bitch anyways and who would want to play with that thing. tia makes a mental laugh in their head because only lombardy children would treat the first prince with this much disrespect, she can’t imagine other nobles being able to pull it off.
while she was thinking to herself, bellesac calls out to her again (still referring to her as half), and tells her she should be obedient now that he’s the first prince’s companion/friend. tia can’t say it out loud but she could care less because she knows perez will overthrow the first prince anyways. tia throws a buttered bread at bellesac, while he is embarrassed, she continues eating (queen behavior!).
soon rulac walks in, the adults stood up and greeted him, and the banquet/dinner officially starts. tia thinks about how lucky it is the brothers haven’t started directly hurting each other for the next lombardy seat after rulac dies.
it’s soon switched to talking abt the chef, who has so much experience in cooking or whatever. vieze, trying to gain favor with rulac, says he will serve the drinks. in fact, he was just trying to brag about how rulac let bellesac into the palace before he was 11.
seral (vieze’s wife, cousin to the empress iirc, angenas) talks about how bellesac is an exception (she emphasizes exception). shanannet, unable to listen to this woman’s talk, tells her “one can only say it’s an exception” i guess she’s meaning bellesac better not embarrass himself in the palace. nobody in lombardy dares to go against shanannet. nobody. i mean it. seral goes quiet and starts shivering when shanannet spoke up. the author describes in the novel that none of the three siblings dare to go up against shanannet. but compared to how cold she puts up against her brother, she becomes immediately soft when vestian caresses her hand. her mood changes instantly (fuck vestian bruh he led her on so much i hate him)
then, vestian brings up gallahan, and says it must have been a bother to be called out to a banquet when he’s sooo busy. viese laughed hearing about the store, calling it a fail and what does he even think he’s doing atp. he was mocking gallahan but gallahan remained calm and answered firmly, that vieze is right, he is, in fact, trying to open up a store. they question him because he doesn’t plan on using lombardy’s support to help him with his business. seral and vestian start laughing along with laurels (2nd brother iirc), but gallahan rebukes them and says he doesn’t need lombardy’s money to open up a shop.
gallahan was getting tired of this mockery, and he was about to get angry until rulac stepped in and told gallahan he will be watching him. that made vieze so mad because it looked like rulac was looking forward to what gallahan could do (he genuinely was looking forward to it too!). gallahan tells him he will try his best!
i haven’t looked at manhwa ch 36 myself since i can’t stand looking at that sloppy cleaning, so if i missed anything please let me know!
