Oh well then I'm that mentally ill kid who likes watching their favourite character suffer in angst because they feel underserving of love and needs to feel pain even if they did nothing wrong and invalidate their own feelings because of the guilt of surviving that's eating them up alive and uses angst as a way to cope and hide the fact that they want themselves to be the one who's hurt instead.
