I can understand what you mean but even if you tell them they are gonna be idiot. Haikyuu is not a BL anime. It's a sports anime and is mostly about friendship between teammates, friendly rivalry, and trying to reach a seemingly unattainable dream.

Also it's not jealousy it's them being disgusting. If they read or watch yaoi/BL just because the characters are gay they're are basically just fetishizing gay men.

Rooting for a gay couple is fine as well shipping fictional character but the issue is when fans become obsessed with gay couple to the point of emotional investment and abuse, even writing graphic smut fanfiction about the actors or characters for the pleasure of a primarily straight, cis female audience.

What people don't realize is that gay men are human beings with individual lives to live. There not for your sex pleasure.

Also I'm not trying be mean I'm just saying that dropping a story cuz it isn't gay is like someone saying they dropped a story because it has gay characters in it. That would make them a homophobe. I'm not into YN either but saying stuff like "eW iTs NoT bL" really shows how toxic the comment section is and how you guys don't read tags.
