I 100% agree omg. I sympathised with Winter a tiny bit at the start due to his circumstances but he’s outright abusive towards violet and hardly bothers to consider her opinions for a second. It’s getting so hard to continue seeing violet being treated this way it’s so heartbreaking.
The only hope I can give you is that there's definitely a relationship growth (small but it's budding) and they start to understand eachother a little bit. But for the rest........ Kinda complicated to explain. Just read the next chapters if you still feel like it.

Yeah I feel you, personally I would rather not have them back together because the idea that unhealthy relationships can be fixed/ are always worth fixing does not seem healthy to me

it was interesting at first but idk anymore. im at ch19. does this eventually get better? i really dislike winter. i understand that he went through so much- from his rough childhood to the marriage scam, but why does he blame it on violet? he doesn't even know shit from how her family and the whole society treats her and he dare call her selfish? he's blind. he treats her so bad, who the fuck calls his wife "disgusting" and doesnt bat an eyelash even if she's outright begging him? winter is downright abusive and i don't give a flying fuck if it's because of his upbringing. just because you experienced mistreatment doesn't give you the pass to treat others like that. fuck him.
