Im afraid to say his character kinda lost points to me coz of what hes been doing
His character failed to gain points for me in the first place. I’ve yet to see genuine impactful redeeming qualities about him. Him being hot means nothing when I’m too busy despising his personality and every single thing he does to notice.
We just gonna gloss over the fact that Woojin physically assaulted him cause he was mad? That he was borderline choking him out? Is it a point of attraction to randomly prove that you can be physically domineering over someone without their consent? Like he was literally hurting him? Like the fact that his first interaction with him on this day was “Hey, I waited for you outside your work without you knowing and saw that you were interacting with the ex you hate so I’m going to painfully bear hug you from behind and tease you about the fact that I’m causing you physical pain.”? Also the fact that dude is basically stalking him at this point since he always popping up to forcefully do whatever he wants to/with him? Alrighty then. This is fine. Totally the basis for a good cute healthy non-abusive relationship. I’m sure it’s totally okay to make the MC’s reason for avoiding him that he’s just afraid to fall for him again, and totally not that he’s an evil abusive psycho with no regard for others feelings. I love it when yaoi characters willingly fall for horrible people, get screwed over by their horrible ways, and then continue to deal with their horribleness until they stop being horrible rather than not falling for a horrible person in the first place. Great stuff.
The only thing that’d save this story for me is if the author has some ounce of realization that this isn’t okay, and actually cleverly subverts expectations by not making Woojin the main love-interest, and actually giving him real impactful consequences for being… the worst. But I really don’t have that much faith.
