ur pretty much right! she ended up having a miscarriage due to the war, which causes riftan to hate himself and sends her to the duke’s house because he thinks it’s better for her. however, he sees how she’s treated and beats up the duke, actually maxi’s sister is the one who told riftan too. she was also abused by her father and i heard she left the household later so i think she wanted to help maxi. but riftan pretty much almost waged war on the duke’s because of how maxi was abused
That is so sad. I was wondering in which chapter he finds out about her abuse because it's painful (not in a bad way, just emotional) to see her struggling with self-worth and trauma all alone without knowing when she will get proper support.

I think it was on chapter 178(maybe) of book 1 on the spoiler threads the last time I saw it. I even copy-pasted those spoiler chapters cuz of my obsession in this story the last few months lol(≧∀≦)
I saw some posts about a spoiler in the reddit last week. They said that riftan wasn't aware about it until he seen how the duke treats maxi himself. I think that's happened around the time when he's up for a war and then maxi followed him(?). Well maxi was kinda wounded at that time and riftan was angry becuz she followed him so he decided to bring her to the duke's castle. Then when the war was finished he saw clearly in his eyes how the duke treated her. Idk if some of it is true cuz I just saw some spoilers and everyone was so worked up about how he will found out so ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
