People are never happy. Story moves "too fast" "oh, would have been better if it had more intro so we could actually bond/relate with the character" "moved too fast for me to enjoy the story" "i got soooo confused and none of the MC's choices made sense because the plot moved so quickly"
Story moves too slow "omg they never finished this arc" "UGH im losing interest in the story *just get to the point already*!" "I'm losing track of the plot because they're spending too much time on side stories"
etc.
Story pacing is so hard to get, and yeah some times it really is valid criticism (Can't tell you how may isekai i dropped because i was on chapter 100-150 and they were still toddlers-infants. Or they explained the main plot in less than 5 chapters but once spent 10 on just choosing a dress or something) But so many people want so many different things that there's no pleasing everyone.
i actually think the pacing for this manga is really good. It didn't spend it's 40 chapters just on the kid. They actually managed to cover the kids development, the dad's development, and the MC's development, all three of their relation ships developed as a group and as pairs, along with their social establishment within 40 chapters!
You KNOW any other isekai would have had her focus on just the child, given them a slightly better relationship (but not by much), the dad and kid would still not be talking, and the MC and dad would have a bad relationship filled with misunderstandings untill chapter 50!

Literally the snow white manga on here lol. The pacing isn't too bad but that's the one that came to mind.
Also Lucia. But that's one is reversed. They obviously developed her relationship with the guy, but now they finally introduced his "son" and it's been like 10 chapters of no relationship development with him because he's convinced she's evil even though she's been nothing but sweet and genuine.
Why are people complaining about the supposed "repetitive" aspect,,,,
Like yeah, the MC is still oblivious to their vicious sides, but enjoy it while you can before the mf ANGST.
Obviously, she's not aware Ain is already twisted, bc she thinks he still hasn't gone through the process that makes him like that. Which is why she thinks she's preventing it. But, in reality, he's far gone. And, since all she's seen is the adorable side of his, she denies the possibility he'd do something so evil.
Anyways, I personally love where it's at rn, bc it's straight up my alley with the mother and son bonding cuteness overload(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
