BIGGG SPOILERR
Sovieshu is holding and playing with Gloriem when Marquis Karl tells him the news. He's shocked and asks if this information has come from a trusted source but Karl says that the news was given directly (I'm assuming by Heinley). Sovieshu becomes overwhelmed and starts to cling to Gloriem as if she's the only thing he has left. He's kind of out of it until she starts pulling on his hair and he quickly snaps out of it. He's thinking of Navier and how he divorced her for basically no reason and starts to tear up. He then looks at the painting of him laying in Navier's lap and questions how she got pregnant, less that a year after arriving at the Western Empire, especially when they'd been trying years for a baby. He then looks down at Gloriem and notices her hair and how much it looks like Rashta's...That's when it finally clicked in his head. Maybe Navier isn't the sterile one...but him.
