We don’t know what will happen later on & tbh Rays whole motive for working with Edith is to run away with Kyle to make a better life for them. Otherwise if Kyle didn’t exist he wouldn’t really have any motivation to do something like that .
Yeah, I feel like kile was a sort of anchor for ray, like a part that allowed him to feel like he still had a place in a world were he wasn't welcomed.

Just because its through his pov doesn’t mean he is the main character. They both could be for all we know…& again people keep judging how its going and if they like kyle or not but the story isnt even over.
Im not judving the author its juwt irritating.....u 2ould know wht i mean if u watched an anime called sk8 to the infinity...tht was worse then this..basically the mc met a transefer student and tsught him skateboarding..the mc was practicing skateboarding for like all his life and he was like 16..then after like a day of being taught dkateboarding his new friend is much much better then him and everybofy around the mc calls him trash and refers to him as the red head who hangs around langa cause none of em know his name..langa was the transfer student....then at first even tho the mc was a bit upset he still supported langa and even whwn he was called trash he still srood by langa..but then hw raced this one physco pedo dude who was obsessed qith langa and the guy broke his arm...the mc made a promise with langa and langa said he wouldnt race thw guy but he brokw his promise which understandably made the mc upset.....i felt bad for the mc it felt as though langa was the main charecter it was anboying cayse no matter how much harder the main cjarecter trained to get better langa always out did him....i felt bad and it almost became unbearable to watch.....but even tho the story revolved arounf langa and all the other charecters inly gave a damn about langa reki was the main charecter the anime made tht clear langa mightve been on3 of the main charecters but reki was the mc...tht anime was hard to watch honedtly..it was still great tho..but reki was my fav charecter so i got really maf qhenever i watched tht animw..so then i changed my fav charecter to this other charecter called miya so i could keep enjoying the show

Tbh was it really necessary to create Kyle? Literally everything is around ray, even the title says escape ray not escape Kyle. Kyle is just a substitute of ray bc he died and this is so sad. Everyone around is there not for him but for ray's clone :/
