Forgot to mention, but don't Ilya has like a lot of demons to summon? So why didn't he use his relic to bring forth the demons to help him when he was fighting MC? I'm confused...

He has a lot but he ignores without his memories what the Mc has, in fact his first reaction was to retract and then to use his mind control which is arguably the most difficult to counter (in fact he almost made it). He seems like a cautious fighter overall. First intel then strike type.
RIGHT! i saw him walking forward and was like “oh shit! ilya thinks he’s gonna alter mc memories but mc already know” but yk what happens? the mc actually falls for the trap! LIKE A COMPLETE DUMBASS???????? cmon now.
I am a person who try to be logical..
So when I see an MC that knows one of the character's power, I didn't expect him to run in and almost got his memories manipulated...
Like why, Mc? If you knew he could do that to your memories, why charge in expecting Ilya to not to use his relic on you?
