Eh. I have seen enough on both sides that whether the seme is a jerk or a decent guy, it is never really surprising anymore.
I think the reason so many people are surprised in THIS case is because there is a kid on the main cover, and so people think "Ah! A kid is involved!" and thus think it will be all sweet and cute, like most yaoi's with kids are. Usually if a kid is involved with the main couple, the seme is usually a lot sweeter and nicer.
Then again, the cover also implies that THEY are the ones raising the kid, when they aren't. So go figure.
Loool some people are still surprised by how seme is jerk, and here I am surprised when they are not a jerk mostly. It is hard to find wholesome seme guys.
