ohh , i just came up with that theory while reading this over months like " that women who seems to be blanche's real mother doesn't look like a good women , the king also acts weird when he's around women .. as if he's afraid of something " then at a chapter there showed Blanche's birth mom saying " you'll never be able to run from me " or something like that to the king so I was pretty sure that the king's weird behaviour was related to her and this chapter confirmed that the king has gynophobia ... i wonder what he went through and what blanche's birth mother did that made him soo traumatized i hope he tries to get over the trauma and be happy with his wife and daughter ..

The king's mother colluded with the previous queen and let the queen raped him when he was down with fever. They want a heir in case he die for whatever reason. Seems like the king was 14 or 15 at that time, while the queen was 20.
That's why the king imprisoned his mother and fear women.

damn .. that's really .. idk what to say now i know the cause of his gynophobia .. that'd be really traumatizing .. i wonder how he'll get over that .. i hope the queen realizes his behaviour soon and initiate communication cuz traumas are not something one would easily talk about .. i just hope he gets better
I think that the king has gynophobia .. seems like blanche's birth mother was not a good person and caused this trauma to the king , so becoz of that he didn't associate himself with neither the queen nor his own daughter .. i thought he really was a scumbag at the beginning but I'm starting to think that might not be the case .. anyways i hope he doesn't say anything hurtful , intentional or not , to blanche in the next chapter ..
