Trueeeeee I had same thoughts too, I just hope hijiri ill find his happiness too
Yeah... I really hope that he and Hajime can find their happiness together :<< Even though they have to move from city to city to hide, and they have this owner-owned relationship, I believe Hijiri will grow to love Hajime as well.
I read Kudou and Miyauchi's story again (the second couple) but I only realized now the possible reason why Hijiri was greatly fond of Kudou. He was obsessed to scientifically make Kudou a 'soulmate' because he believes a soulmate can give Kudou the ultimate form of happiness, and he wanted Kudou to be happy more than anyone else because he knew about the incident where Kuduo was raped by omegas and betas alike in a party. I've always wondered why Hijiri was so fond of Kuduo, even though I felt like he wasn't really romantically inlove with him. Although what he did wasn't righteous and that just shows how he and Miyauchi mirror each other so well - doing everything that they can just so the people that they cherish can have their happy ending.
