More like trauma as opposed to faith or trust. When u get used to people leaving u its hard to think anyone will actually stay. Being abandoned becomes the normal for you.
i mean gio thinks his parents who literally brought him to the world abandoned him, so he might be thinking anyone can leave him at anytime, even someone who is deeply in love with him. im for sure he doesn't think of felix that low. he's hella smitten, he jst has some deep issues that hasn't been solved soooo

They really don't have any faith in their partners. They think so little of them, and apparently don't know and aren't listening or watching their actions to know they would never do that.
