From my understanding, his mother had a dream where a dragon emerged from the lee river and flower into her belly. That simbolizes that her child would ascend to the throne. So he took that river, which is kind of sacred to him because it's where it all began in a way, and gave him the name as a simbol of good faith to bestow his favor

That’s really interesting! I went back to that particular chapter to understand it better, and then it got me thinking, could that dream also mean the emperor is a dragon immortal deity who came to the human realm or something of the sort? But differently from Kang he’s got no memories? So many theories lmao

Possibly. A dragon coming into the belly of a pregnant woman has been used a lot of times before as a simbolism of them ascending, but since in this world we know gods are a very real thing...and asian stories DO tend to go that way....what you're saying could very well be plausible

    Honestly...i hope not tho ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ
He's pretty shitty to me and it's such a cliche to make the big, bad, overbearing fuck boi to be the strongest, which....eh, isn't really my thing.
I'd much prefer it if the mc just left after three years and the emperor was left very mortal and very heartbroken.........but that's not how these stories usually go ┐(´v`)┌

Yeeeah I definitely see where you’re coming from, that is a very common twist for sure! I was just reading a few novels that went kinda like that, so I can’t help projecting a few theories on this story.
Let’s look for clues on the next chapters and maybe we’ll find more solid evidence of where this is going :’) Meanwhile crossing fingers hoping someone could pick this novel up for translation, this story is very interesting!!
