Based on what I understand, the second lead guy (Kouji) didn't really wanted to kill Miyo.
Because on one of the chapters when they're going to the Saimori Household, ML (Koudo) has a calm expression, so he was taken back by that, and start to have doubts about ML intentions. Like if the ML is truly worried about Miyo and such (although we know that the ML is truly worried and cared about FL well being, and enraged deep inside about at what happen to the FL.)
So he thought if the ML abandons Miyo, the surest way to bring peace for Miyo, although he didn't want to do that method, but because he thought to himself that he does not have enough power to save Miyo from those *evil people, is to kill Miyo and kill himself afterwards also Because he does want Miyo to experience much more suffering and loneliness

I love the main couple and will support them until the end of the story but why do I feel so sad for the second lead guy huhuhuh because he truly loves her for so many years, but still they did not end up together huhuhuhh . I hope he will also find happiness β£
