He's not at fault tbh...being the only son of their family ofc he was spoiled from his early childhood and until adulthood, when in that age you cannot blame it to parents since it was clearly shown that he supported him in any of his endeavors, he's already an adult so he has to take responsibilities on his actions
The issue is he maybe an adult but he was raised to think he could do what ever he wanted. Hes not evil or bad but his father still failed him.
Honestly the prince isn't at fault, its his father who let him be like this. So him saying he doesn't want to do it, him hugging him at the dock. He is at fault and now he sends him away because he cant do anything else but send his problem away. Oh by the way they entrapped the prince.
