Maybe to teach them? Since they’re supposed to be like teachers too. They stay with them until they’re of legal age so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were taught about the human body. Sex education too just not the way Rau told Ivan XD

I'm not versed on droids type but I sure am not going to put any obsolete functions/parts to begin with considering his primary role.
