But his love is too much. He's afraid if he tells sooyoung the truth sooyoung will run away and hate him. He used force to make sooyoung stay but it didn't work.. so he used soft way which is manipulative plan. If sooyoung know, that would be death for Taesung
Because he's afraid Sooyung will hate him and leave him. Because, if I recall correctly, Taesung is somewhat involved with the death of Sooyung's uncle, and Sooyung really loved his kind uncle.

Why can't just Sooyung stay put? It's because he really just wants to know the truth because he wanna be with or believe in Taesung. But he knows Taesung is hiding something from him. The way Taesung reacted made Sooyung feel anxious. He wants to know what Taesung could be hiding for Taesung to have such a scared/shocked reaction when he tried asking him before. That's why Sooyung is going on these dangerous places.
If Taesung only told Sooyung the truth, this wouldn't have happened, but, if you read the manhwa anyway, we know why Taesung is deathly afraid of telling Sooyung the truth. Now this + Sooyung's stubbornness + the dangerous gangster poeple around him = Sooyung getting badly beaten up. It was kinda inevitable.
