true it is understandable in the real word we don’t just get babies from flowers or by holding hands and then they pop out lol
Step daughters and step sons is logical explanation. I have see a person, a mom who used to be my neighbours has 11 child at the age of 23. It isn't her children, she only give birth to 2 but all 9 others is her step children.
I see where you're coming from, but also, I think I would continue to be horrified if a 16 year-old was already married and was the maternal guardian of 6 kids. Like, maybe that's possible in a totally innocent and non-concerning way, but I'm gonna say 99 times out of 100, I'm going to be very worried about why anyone is allowing the teenager to be in that position.
Understandable
I know those grandmas were supposed to come of as judgy and truthfully Japan IS super harsh and judgemental towards single mothers. Buuuuuut, to be fair, if I saw a high school student with that many kids and an oldest child who could pass for 4 or 5, and she said she was their mother, I would also be very very horrified.
