The Old bitch was the Previous Emperor’s 2nd Empress (1st Empress was ML’s mom who died young).
When the previous emperor went out to war often…
The Old bitch get steamy with his husband’s younger brother (ML’s uncle, the King).
Get pregnant, but lied that the baby was his husband’s.
The Old bitch jealous that his young son is not as handsome/beautiful as the young ML.
The Old bitch brainwashed the previous emperor to send teenage ML to war many times with his team. Often not given enough fund which caused him and his soldier get sick and hungry.
While taking this advantage, the Old bitch brainwashed the previous emperor to change the Crown Prince title to her own ugly son.
While she still having a secret relationship with the King.
Mind you, the King at that time already have many concubines.
ML victorious in all the war, get stronger, have more loyal soldiers, gathered some power, went back to the palace, killed off the emperor, and take the throne.
A little while after that, the King got captured for treason, and the start of all this story begin!

Summary of the recent chapters:

The Old Fart purposely revealed his own crimes, so he will be captured, and locked up under heavy security.
After that, OldFart soul managed to move into Emperor’s body, and Emperor’s soul into OldFart’s body.
OldFart (in Em body) give out royal order to chop the head of the criminal (Em in Oldfart body) in 30 minutes.
That’s when the Ninjas realised what happened when they see that Uke’s soul is still inside his own body even though the soul supposed to swap with Emperor.
But with only 30 minutes and very high security, and in front so many eyes, how can the Ninjas save Em (in Oldfart body)? There’s little time left for them to search a way to swap back Em’s soul into his own body!!!
