A mary sue is a type of female character who is depicted as unrealistically lacking in flaws or weaknesses. Basically they don't have any flaws and perform heroically and perfectly in every situation. It usually is a sign of the author being an amateur writer

Yep spot on, also someone else explained a Mary Sue as a Goddess in human form. Someone who does no wrong and is loved by everyone evil or good. Plus they have max stats can usually see these type of characters in Japanese Isekai with Gary Stus. Recently saw a Mary Stu with a Korean webtoon with a Maid who automatically gains any skill I think from her ancestors total BS skill.

Yeah i read that one too but i dropped it because it constantly bugged me how she was becoming a pro in every single thing with a DREAM per night like seriously a dream.... people be working all their life to achieve that level of perfection in their skills while the mc was able to achieve it by dreaming and becoming perfect THE NEXT FUCKING DAY like atleast take some time to manifest it bro. To me all her achievements felt like a sandcastle because she achieved them not with the help of her own powers but with others' all the while make everyone smitten with her.....bs.... I highly recommend a light novel named 'The Protagonists are murdered by me' in this the mc travels different dimensions and kills the so called protagonist aka strong ass op people favoured by probability and the system as they are constantly consuming probability of the world which further leads to it's ruin. It's pretty fun to read and is a deconstruction of the whole op protagonsts with bs powers genre.

Y'all big fans of the Mary Sue troupe where MC knows what she's doing all the time, has 3 backup plans , never fails ,falters, is always composed, is a REAL GIRLBOSS. Pfttt like don't get me wrong I LOVE strategic planning type mcs both male and female but... It doesn't make sense how there's no failures or even a slight consequence in the numerous villainess manhwas in which the main character continues to do anything and win I mean they hardly ever get surprised by anything the villain does...ahem ahem villainess is a marionette..... AhEm.. Even trash of count's family's novel has moments where the white trash has sometimes ruined Cale's plans and surprised him. I read this novel called regressor instruction manual where MC is a scammy bastard who gaslights his own friends just to power them up and lies through his teeth to make up ridiculous situations which actually end up destroying continents while he continues to act like a saint and manipulates everyone (seriously demons love him and gods continue to give him extra rewards just so he won't end up joining hands with the demons lol) but all of his actions lead to a consequence big or small in which he has to suffer to control the situation. Anyways I feel like many of us have been reading too much "perfect mc troupes" so now y'all expect each of them to be one of those. even a slight mistake tiks us off and people start getting upset but if you think about it here the MC is just a kid mentally too like girl was just 16 when she transmigrated. Even moreso she wasn't able to avoid her fate and ended up witnessing the murder so obv she would think she would die. But she didn't and instead was blackmailed to marry that same person. Honestly this makes her seem more of person than just a character. If I was her I would cry everyday and wouldn't be able to sleep at night. Instead of pointing out her fucked up Stockholm syndrome like situation people are getting mad at her for not being overbearing and fearless. Give constructive criticism don't whine about how this doesn't suit your platter because it doesn't have your desired troupes.
