Well that’s true but not really. There have been many cases of incest and the child being perfectly normal. But like u said it increasing the chances HIGHLY for the child to have disabilities physically and mentally so the more they do it it probs made it worse but idk how it works totally
It's pretty much normal back then. Lots of royal and rich people during the old times do that to ensure that their money stays within the family.
There are some cases where in the child ends up normal. But over time, if you have a child with your cousin and your child then has a child with their cousin, it's gonna get worse and worse and worse. It increases the risk of genetic problems if the family continues to do this generation to the next generation. Which is why inbreeding is a big no-no.
So like....incest doesn't work like that.....cause of like genetics, chromosomes and what not.....(⊙…⊙ )
