sangwoo became a little more human near the end of is life and it's because the love he,weirdly, shared with yoonbum helped him when there were no issues

Sangwoo is straight. Ik the argument “but straight guys wouldn’t have sex with other men” and ya, but Sangwoo isn’t a regular straight guy lmao.
Sangwoo saw Yoonbum as his mother replacement. I could get into the psychology as to why Sangwoo does what he does, but it’ll be long and I can barely speak proper English haha.
To sum it up, Sangwoo is straight he’s just mentally ill and has severe mommy issues. Yoonbum was a tool to deflect this trauma onto. When Sangwoo hit Yoonbum, it’s like he hit his mother, like he was standing up against her.

Random, but here’s what I think the story is about the mom:
I’m thinking she got pregnant against her will, or was forced to keep Sangwoo. The dad could’ve been someone who raped her, a one night stand, a boyfriend, an arranged marriage, idk.
The dad seemed really intent on having a family so I definitely think he forced her to keep/have Sangwoo. This could make sense because the mom tried to suffocate Sangwoo with the pillow when he was a baby.
Another theory is, they were happy together (mom and dad) but the mom became mentally ill? Maybe she developed an illness? I’m pretty sure the dad said a couple times “Aren’t you the one who wanted a happy family?” (I might be wrong) thus explains why the dad never left her bc he felt too bad?
Another theory I have is, when the mom was being abused she was protecting Sangwoo and Sangwoo then called her “a hag”-? When he was a baby. She was obviously already losing it so maybe this was the cherry on top that made her decide to be violent towards Sangwoo.
I think when Sangwoo said that she felt betrayed and felt like no one else loved her-? So she became so obsessed with Sangwoo because she felt he was the spawn of the devil? (Aka her husband)
