It was a set up that had gone wrong. The omega purposely went out of the room that he was isolated in and got into the elevator that the alpha was in. I think he was going to catch his attention or do something thatll make the alpha notice him. However he unexpectedly went into heat which was not part of the plan. His heat influenced the alpha and that lead to him being marked. Any question? (=・ω・=)

It seems that the uke was trying to escape his family. His family holds more importance in people knowing that there is an omega born in their predominantly alpha household rather than there being an omega. So instead of throwing him out and having the risk of people finding out hes a relative of theirs they isolated him also because hes the first born too (i think) anyways yeah he was basically isolated from people and everyone. He didnt want to be locked away anymore and it seems like the family was looking for people to marry him off too, so he started searching for marriage candidates on his own. The one alpha he felt he could marry was the seme and so he tried to catch his attention but instead he unexpectedly went into heat and was marked. So the uke got what he wanted but not in the way he planned to get it. And yeah i know he couldve just left the household but the uke was someone that was isolated to the point where he didnt know how to function on his own and he was clever enough to know that if he ran away hed only end up in the streets probably selling himself.
