Because maybe Cha didn't want to make a huge scene, he just talked in a calm manner but he was oozing with anger and possessiveness so he let the man know that through his pheromones, like "if i ever see you tryna hit on my man, who happens to be my child's mama, imma fuck you up and shit". And since — i think— that the man was the only alpha in the room he was very shocked and quivered in fear, while the others were highly to be betas.
