Ok so the former emperor (her grandfather) had a daughter who loved the current emperor. He wasnt a royal and had a son with the women he loved, and had a daughter with the former emperor's daughter. The grandpa was for some reason (i either don't remember or it wasn't said) the downfall of the women he loved. So he killed the former emperor and his daughter so he would inherit the throne, because he would be the only one able to as he is an adult. The horndog is the son of the current emperor's sister aka the son of the bitch aunt.
