the anime follows the novel, so basically the timeline is wack as well but you can avoid that timeline if you just stick on the novel since you can tell that the special chapters are the future timeline and regular chapters are the past one.
I recommend you read the novel anf avoid the anime if you don't want to experience the inconsistent timeline like i did and be spoiled. so like, don't read the special chapters

yeah, i knew others like it, but it really isn't just for me. I prefer when timeline isn't whacked since it's really more of a spoiler to me then past was like a filler . I like it better when I'm oblivious of the future and don't know the direction of the story instead of separating mcs experience into past and making the war into future. It really just takes away the excitement imo.
That's why i couldn't read the manga in peace and rather just skims through it after dropping the novel. My biggest regret what reading the special chapters
I really shouldn't have watched the anime and read the Light Novel, i should've just sticked in the manga
The transition of timeline ruined the reading experience for me. It didn't confuse me, but it's like i was shown some spoilers that i didn't want to know yet-
it's like for example, i watched an anime and then the second season was the filler- I hate fillers.
That's how i felt after i read the LN- like they've shown me a massive spoiler that doesn't really hype me up but instead discouraged me- now i can no longer read the manga in peace without constantly wanting to drop it ;(
