I can't agree with you here. The crappiest human being are people who doesn't show any compassion. She does. She understand she's being selfish, and honestly I can't say that if I was her, I would have loved Momo. She was raped (and hell, that's a lot of trauma) and she was rekected because of that. She was treated like it was her own fault that she was raped, of course she held a lot of resentment in her, and she couldn't let it out since everyone abandonned her once she had Momo. She was left all alone, forced to prostitution to feed a kid that she didn't want. I would have turned psycho if I was her.
But indeed, she could have done better... She could have tried to go to an association for victims of rape etc... But she was young and full of hate. What happened, happened and they both need to go forward, and they both deserve that.

I can't believe what I am reading. I truly can't. She was absolutely aware of the pain she was cousing, she was aware that a child was being raped, she was aware of all this. I am repeating it, she was perfectly AWARE that a child was being raped. She is a sociopath who lost control and stopped pretending. She never showed any sign of compassion she only thought of herself,she wasn't emotionally touched when her child was being raped next door,if something like that doesn't bring out any desire of protection ,no matter what the person says afterwards, they were Aware of everything and did nothing. That's a sick woman,rotten inside. She wasn't a prostitute ,she had a job and a bf, who touched her child . She forced a child into prostitution and made money out of him. That's it, stop playing the victim card. It's disgusting. After Momo refused to act as nothing had happened she showed her true colors by accusing him and mentaly abusing him again .She should be in jail, and guess what? Many people who are in jail had an abusive childhood, they will know how to treat her. And no, you can't commit such a crime and live happily ever after. And yes, Momo had it 1000 worse than her, there is no comparison.
And I am sick of hearing only about the woman, the child even if he was born out of rape is a human being, innocent and deserves to be happy. That's why so many of you refuse to condemn her? Because he is a child who doesn't deserve to live? It's the child's fault? He could never be loved? He should forgive her because she was "kind" enough to give birth to such a monster? That's how useless their lives are? Sick. Sick. Sick. You are defending a criminal who in the real world could be sentenced for life.

I think she's doing more harm than good (assuming she really is seeking forgiveness). There's no way she can ever make amends for what she's done. How can she show genuine regret?

-Go to prison? Nope, Momo would never press charges and be subject to further humiliation/victimization.
-Give Momo money for a better life-style/belated education? It's probably her husband's money so that doesn't count.

A this point it would've been better if she never showed up and let Momo forget what happened. Her comment about Momo being the unwanted consequence of rape DEVASTATED him. She should have kept that to herself even if those are her true feelings.

I just can't feel compassionate about her whatsoever, she was raped yes sad for her but you said it if she hated her kid that much why not give him away, she didn't just mistreat him, she even got him raped what kind of human does that, she was young when she was raped not when HE was.
No matter what i just can't stand on her side or be understanding towards her, screw her compassion it's not needed at this poin.

In my opinion it was her decision to raise Momo. She was happy at the beginning, and then when she realized that her boyfriends where sleeping with Momo something shaped. If you decide to be a mother, if you decide to take that child with you, then that is it you are taking a responsibility for raising that child with of the best of what you have got. I don't remember her being a prostitute I remember her being a host. But the hate that she has towards her rapist does not mean that she is going to prostitute her own child.

That's a good point. I want to see her pay, but you are correct--it's best for Momo if she just stayed away.

She's a monster. No excuses. A monster. I like imagining her ending up alone, miserable, and murdered. She deserves it. She has NO compassion, none. So , if you think the crappiest people have no compassion, then take a look at MOmo's mother.
