I had a similar experience

No, it didn't really lead to sex, but my guy best friend and I (I'm a girl) used to live in the same building but different rooms. I once woke up to him kissing me on the lips and because of the awkwardness of the situation, I pretended to continue sleeping.
...I also kinda like him then, so I just let it happen. I thought he likes me too and I was anxiously hoping he''ll confess anytime soon. This incident happened several times as well...
...And then he lets it be known that he likes this other girl (a mutual friend of ours) and started courting her.
..I was hertbroken of course, but since I value our friendship, I just decided to support him.
...But then he kiss me AGAIN in my sleep while courting the other girl. I ended our friendship right there
I refuse to be used as someone to alleviate onés lust

IMO, he might be waiting for your respond/reaction. And then he gave up since you pretend nothing happened.

Whether thats true or not, don't date a person who does stuff to you while you're unconscious. You can't give consent in that case. Even if the op was actually awake and not stopping it, he didn't know that. He chose to do it thinking she was unconscious and was not consenting. He sucks. Good for you op for breaking things off with that creep.

Totally agree. Whats to stop him from doing more if he can kiss you without you being awake?

Really? I'm sorry, thats really unfortunate. Its difficult to say what you should do but you should probably try to talk to an adult you trust, like a parent. Or you can make sure he knows you know and that it isn't okay.

I agree. It disgusts me to think someone has such disrespect for you that they violate your body without your consent. Like your body is theirs to do what they want.
Misinterpreting non verbal cues and kissing someone who doesn't want it is one thing. Not giving a damn (or taking advantage of the fact) that the person can't give verbal/non verbal cues is a jerk move.
