The original work is a novel yk and it's complete with extra chapters, it's more detailed and contains more ahem ahem content than you might think, so would definitely recommend you to read the novel its worth every praise!!!!
I seriously can relate to you sm as I first started with the anime then Manhua then novel then drama and at last the chibi version series
The manhua is quite true to the original novel, so those 'fan service' moments are actually part of the original novel and it makes their relationship even more romantic and special, hell the novel is even more wild and explicit lol I'm eager to see how they gonna adopt it.

I'm really surprised, that the manhua is so true to the novel. I thought they'd water it down to companionship between LZ and WWX.

when i read the manhua I thought that the dramatic scenes weren’t described clearly like at the anime wei’s comeback was a huge mental breakdown for me even tho i knew what he was gonna do but at the manhua it was like entering a supermarket.. maybe it’s bc they made that scene so dramatic in the anime that i thought like that, but anyway i still love all of it and i think if i read the novel i can feel the emotions better

I started the anime two days ago and finished it yesterday finished the chibi episodes and waiting for the third season they said it will be released in 2021 summer but I’m still waiting for it ┗( T﹏T )┛
I cried so much while watching the anime and I started the manga right away and binge read it.. the plot is different than anime and the events escalated in a different order but I’m definitely not complaining because those fan service movements the moment they kissed the moment they blushed the moment they flirted and all of the things they’ve done oh my God I regret nothing (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
