Its not. If you read the past chapters, its revealed that it was maetel wearing a red wig the night uke was too drunk, the night were he got pregnant. He thought it was duke wayton (the serial killer) because he was the last guy he remembered being with before maetel took him. He also confused the other person to be the father, marquis allial/allian (not sure about the name) because of the hair. Its actually maetel.

Maetel took him away from duke the night of the ball but the crown prince had on a wig so that is why louiss could not recognize him and Louis was stone drunk that day
Well, we knew it was him from the start. He looked too kind tbh. Also, its actually frustrating to wait when Maetel learns its his child. I know its gonna be in the next few chapters after they save Louis but let me just scream into the void
