I get your point :( but personally, I believe Sawamura is more fitting on team sports than individual sports. He's a people person and his personality are just so bright, so I think someone like him work better in team than alone. His personality also influences people and the mood around him (the obvious example is Chris-senpai) so it's a good thing that he choose team sports like baseball rather than tennis/badminton/ping pong imo. To be honest, his dynamic with his team is also very interesting.
I know most of us are frustrated that it seems he's not well appreciated and didn't get many chances as much as Furuya (well, it's because Furuya's the ace, duh), but Eijun continue to work hard and proving everyone that he's indeed reliable so I believe the coach will start to realize his worth better than before.
The coach better be realizing what he did wrong on match with Ichidai.
But yeah, things are so frustrating lately and I understand why you are so frustrated so let's hope things get better for Sawamura! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Sawamura have a good work ethic and good attitude toward the sports he likes so I think he'll be good at any sports he plays lol (but baseball still the most fitting for him) ^^
I see many people disappointed in coach's decision making this time and looks like he understand what he did wrong. Let's wait for the team meeting, seems like it'll be interesting xD
In situations like this that I hate team sport like baseball, basketball, volleyball, etc ( ̄Д ̄)ノ
Unless you're coach and people who can influence the coach think you can do it they won't put you in! Plus when things get crappy like the main player is injured, they say they believe in you -_-
This is why I prefer individual sport like tennis, ping pong, badminton, etc (I know there is doubles but players can choose what they want to join in)
I know some ppl are going to say 'if you want to be a player then be better, etc etc'
BUT!!!! ( ̄^ ̄)
For those who say that you clearly don't play competitive sport because a crucial way to improve is not only through training but it is VERY important to have experience playing in tournament!
Sadly in high schooler like Sawamura cannot even participate in other tournaments because to do that he'd need to join a club get coach to recognized him and it's the same thing all over again!! σ^_^;
In comparison, if a tennis/ping pong player is not chosen to represent his school he/she can just enter local/international tournaments. He/she gets experience and will know what his/her mistakes in a real match and work on it!!! Plus open tournaments usually have players that are better than high school level due to difference in commitment (some go homeschool for sport).
SAWURA!!!! Why did you have to pick a team sport!!! You could have just proved your worth in an open tournament of the sport you chose is an individual sport!!! ( ;´Д`)
