Great characterization!! I know a lot of people hating on lady hee but it’s during a time perused where the women’s survival is solely based on the favor of men. If she loses favour, she loses the protection granted to her and hence the other concubines and consort can mess around with her. Not saying her servant had to slap her but it’s a pretty normal reaction tbh. A reaction out of fear and hopelessness. Can’t really fault someone trying to survive. I also know a lot of people mentioned her father has a high position but if she’s discarded she’s basically useless because she’d be used woman and her father won’t be able to use her to garner favors from the emperor.
