But they will be SAFE. And... the tree is DEAD anyway?? In a few years, the tree will start cracking and collapsing on its own no matter how hard they try to keep it standing. Since it's dead, it will *not* stay as a pretty memento. It will start falling apart and looking hideous. So much so, that looking at it will not make anyone think of her mother when she was living, it'll only remind people that Fealta's mother is just as dead as the tree... They need to convince Fealta that it's better to let it go.
