I keep thinking shavonne said that to convince his superiors he didn’t care about lewellyn, but he just did too good of a job of saying it. But I think that bc the other option is he really didn’t care for him and I can’t handle that lmao
oh no just kill me rather than latter option be tru lmao. but i personally think it's impossible for someone to take care about another without a bit grain of feeling, so shavonne said must be reasonable
aight seems like the tears would still continue to spill from my eyes until the flashback scenes ended. it's heartbreaking to think that lewellyn doesn't even know basic human emotions as he couldn't differentiate whether shavonne laughed because he was happy or because he was angry. he might being held captive in that prison from he could remember a thing. he's been getting torments from another wards so he was growing up to learn that the only thing that will save him only by being submissive

there must be something that made them went separated ways. why did shavonne lied by saying he didn't care for lewellyn ((back to flashback scene in prev chaps)), i got guts that he did it to saving lewellyn. maybe after lewellyn was getting released from the prison and started to live with his new identity as 'lewellyn' while shavonne should gets a punishment for getting intimate with lewellyn and taught him things, because prison ward shouldn't do that in first place. he violated the rules thus his supervisor erase his memories as prison ward, that's why he couldn't recall a thing about his past and lewellyn--all that he remembered was the time when he first kicked out from orphanage, he barely passed by by writing stories, hooking up with strangers here and there until the current timeline
