- Jaleousy because Tia was better than him and was loved by her parents contrary to him who felt shunned by his own.
- Prejudice because he believed every lies told about her by the opposition and more specificaly the opposition's leader.
- He was feed a drug that somehow made him only target Tia for some reason.
- Ji-eun made him fell better about himself and he tought she trully loved him (little did he know...).
All in all, he just was being a pitty bastard and is hardly better in the second timeline.

I thought I'd missed something that would've made me like the emperor more but, in the end I really don't... The emperor's past is unfortunate however, I believe it would have been better if Tia and him seperate. I prefer green hair so much more q-q.
I didn't read but, what reason did the emperor have to end up with the herione and cheat on the MC in the first life? The backstory??
